It's hard to believe, but it has been six months since we re-launched The TRIZ Journal! We're pleased to have expanded our list of contributing authors and also to have welcomed back authors who helped make our first 10 years a remarkable success. We hope the next six months will bring more of the same – if you've ever thought about sending in a contribution, please take a moment to look at our Call for Papers and send in your analyses and case studies.

For July, we have another mix of new and returning authors:

• Valeri Souchkov has struggled for years to understand – and define – the differences among the 5 levels of solutions. His article, Differentiating Among the Five Levels of Solutions, begins by describing the traditional explanation of the levels as developed by Genrich Altshuller and his colleages. Valeri goes on to look more closely at what separates the level and provides examples to further differentiate the levels.
• A trio of first-time contributors collaborated on Alternatives for Sequences of Migration in Services. Cristóbal Perán, Dimitri Van Nuland and Luis Miguel Cipres originally presented this paper at TRIZCON2007.
• Gregory Frenklach returns with a fresh perspective for how to effectively use the contradiction matrix.
• This month's Student Corner article focuses on the fun – and science – that can be found with a simple bouncing ball and the principle of nesting. Abram's ability to find magic from the "normal" continues to challenge readers and students of all ages.
• This month's issue includes the 10th article in the Kraev's Korner series. Lesson 10 focuses on system evolution.

News
