The 5th Senior Conference on TRIZ Researching was held at China's Hunan University on April 25, 2009. It was sponsored by the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society (CMES). Professor Li Mengren, secretary of the Hunan University Mechanical College, presided at the conference.

More than 20 scholars attended, representing the following groups:

• Sichuan University
• Shandong Architecture University
• Hebei University of Technology
• Northeastern University

Several professors presented different topics at the conference:

• Professor Tan Runhua from Hebei University of Technology introduced successful experiences on TRIZ training in the Heilongjiang Province.
• Dr. Wei Zihui from Hebei University of Technology gave a report titled: "Contradiction Solving Using L-T Table Method."
• Dr. Sun Jianguang from Hebei University of Technology gave a report titled: "Achieving Effective Innovation Based on TRIZ Technological Evolution."
• Dr. Zhang Huangao from Hebei University of Technology gave a TRIZ report on management field applications.
• Li Min from Shandong Architecture University shared experiences on instructing the graduation project of undergraduates using TRIZ. The patent achievements of TRIZ training for undergraduates were displayed.
• And Zhao Xinjun from Northeastern University gave a report about the appearance design of automotives.

Thanks to the overwhelming response of the 5th Senior Conference on TRIZ Researching in China, the sponsor will organize the 6th Senior Conference on TRIZ Researching again in China.

He received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. through the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Hebei University of Technology, in 2003 and 2007.
